Generation Y Leaders Camp (GYL) Part 1/4

Sorry for not updating for so long... Busy & tired- 2 word that describe me now

Now, I should post one by one. I'll post about GYL camp that I enjoyed SOOO much

On 18-21 Dec, I attended the GYL camp @ Batam. We stayed at Turi Beach Resort, which is damn nice even though there's renovation everywhere.

Day 1
I need to arrive at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT) by 8am... I went there by MRT & then taxi with Eng chua & Yan Feng (thanks for the ride - it's really appreciated). When I arrived there, the lecturers were there together with other mates. This is my first time there (TMFT) & Indonesia too =D Our ferry's name is Batam Fast's Sea Flyte. The ferry departs TMFT at 9.30am.

I took lotsa photos along the way. It's fun riding a ferry (gosh, I'm so weird & excited). we arrived there at around 10am Batam time (BT), which is 11am S'pore time (ST). From there, we board a bus to the resort. The journey took 10 mins

After arriving there, we are allocated to different rooms. My room number is 531 with Vineeth & wenxu =D. As soon as I opened the door, I jumped for joy coz the room is damn nice. Bathroom,TV,refigerator, balcony with a portion of sea view. it's like the hotel but the room is constructed like a hut house, with a roof.

After that, we had lunch at Sanur lounge. The food was damn nice. It's Indonesian Traditional food with desserts too... =D Later in the afternoon, I had games to participate, which is paintball !!! This is my first time Ihad this experience. My grp members ae not mopiko but Team B ( 3 BG split into Team A-D)

As we arrived there, we briefed by the game master b4 commencing the game. We had to wear special suits & masks to protect from the shootings. Guess what ? WE WON !!! I'm so happy about tit. Then, we had another 2 rounds b4 calling off for the day.

Then, I had 1 1/2 hrs to spare since the game ends early. I watch TV alone since my 2 roomates are not back from Jungle Trekking, which I'm going to do tthe next day. Then, It's dinner time with GREAT FOOD but still, the jungle trekking people still have not come back. At that time,ww were very worried, wondering what could have happened to them.

Later at night, We had a workshop conducted by Ms Ong on peer support leaders. She taught us some useful skills that a class rep can adopt to the class. The programme ended at around 11pm BT.

Tmr, I'll continue with Day 2... Till then, Ciaos !!! =D

P.S: At the end of Part 4, I'll post photos for u guys to view, ok ? =D
