Generation Y Leaders Camp (GYL) Part 2/4

I'll now continue with Day 2 of GYL camp...

Day 2
On that day, my grp's activities was jungle treking. B4 the activity, we had breakfast at Taming Sari restaurant !!! The food was again superb coz there's lotsa food from intl to local & traditional.

After breakfast, we had a workshop on peep to peer relationship by Mr Lee Ee Tat. Then, we need to act a role play from day 1's workshop discussion. Even though we did not practice at all but we did our best !!! =D. After the whole thing, went for lunch.

at 2pm, we were briefed by our staion i/c on jungle trekking. As usual, Team B organised ourselves into different role. First, I did last man as my role, where I will be the last person behind my grp. The objectives of this trekking is to find 8 different checkpoints. Our grp took an inner loop while Team A takes an outer loop. We navigate ourselves by a map & compass. Our i/c on that day is yoga & amir as well as accompanied by Mr Lee.That's the first time I go trekking with a compass. Bala is our first man. He leads us. Along the way, the instructors gave some clues by making some funny & irritaing noises to tell us that we are heading in a wrong direction. Although it was tough, I persevered on and complete everything.

Along the way, the most memorable part was crossing a mini lake. I had my shoes wet !!! argh =( but hey, nvr mind. Another one was i get to see the view of Singapore's skyscrapers from the hills & rocks. It's really enjoyable for me & a good experience. My grp members did some pacing for me along the way. They were very helpful. Thanks guys !!! =D

As we head for the last checkpoint, it was night time. I had to use the torchlight to navigate around. But, we finally di dit when we met Team A at the end !!! That was around 7pm plus BT. After that, I washed up b4 heading for dinner. As usual, The food was SO DELICIOUS !!!

After dinner, we had a talk by 2 NUS law students. Firstly, we need to play a game called ice-cream game, which i find it lame but interesting. my grp name is SS3 (Shooting Staaz team 3). My grp is competing with ZC3 (Zen & Cherry Team 3). There's one time where we are pissed off coz we negotiate with one another on coming up with a same price but in the end, they betrayed us by making more profits !!! =(. Well, it's just a game though. At that point, I still dun know what's the objectives of the game until the 2 students told us at the end.

After the wonderful interaction, Mopiko needs to stay back very very late till 1am BT to rehearse the gala night performances. We did so hard for it & It's very tiring though but we had no choice. I managed to sleep at 3am ST...

Tmr, I'll continue with Day 3... =D
