Today came to sch late... arrived at 8.45am. =.=
Lucky, nvr miss anything on the lecture coz some part in the morning is revision *phew*. Today the journey is super duper long in my enitre life. I usually takes 35 or max 45 mins to SP but just now took 1 HOUR!!! woah... super duper long due to the usual jam after PIE & surprisingly jam at clementi MRT there

Anyway, after morning lecture, went home coz i cant stop coughing all the time. I need to rest at home. In the end, skip GEMS & skip FYP balloting. haiz. =(

So far, my health improves. It is better than this morning. Hopefully, i can go gym and/or bball tmr...

Basketball Experience

Today, I had the first experience of what is it like to play basketball but then i play in the lab instead of court !!! That time, I finished practical early. Thats why. All of them were shocked as i brought the basketball in school haha =) Even people in the bus stared at me. Maybe they see me as first time where a tall malay guy bring basketball to sch since seldomly they see malay boys play that

Anyway, thanks to Yad,Khair,Nigel,Leng Heng for teaching me. All of them are like pros except me. Well, I still have a loooooong way to go. All I need to do is just practice & practice as well as train hard =)

After Polymer Processing II lecture, went back home to settle something. Then, I change to my jersey & start playing bball at the court near my house, alone for 1/2 hr. I just dribble & dribble as well as trying to score. Then, Had shower b4 going back to sch for biomat lecture

It's the 2nd week of school... So far I can cope.

Nowadays, I dun feel anything good with myself. I feel disappointed, sad & angry with myself. I want to start exercising but i still havent start !!! My friends encourage me to do something about my fitness. Thanks, I really appreciate ur advice but i dunno why i cant do it =.= I wanna play bball ( i already have the attire & the ball) but then no mood !!! The basketball court is just 1 min or less away from my hse & i dun take the initiative to go there !!! I wanna swim & gym as well as jogging but still no motivation... is it i'm feeling shy to go swimming & gyming ? =.= I'm trying myself to behave in everything that I do but i feel something's not right at myself !!! Sometimes I got no mood to study !!! I feel that the world has ended for me =.= I dunno why. What has happened to me ? Is it I'm tired or something else makes me like this ? I dunno lahhhhhhhhhhhh. Whatever it is, I have to be patient & relax myself... I have to start somewhere but how ?

Last day in London

Time flies very fast. Tmr, we will be heading back to spore. Sad to live this beautiful & courteous country... It has been great here in UK especially in London, where we visited attractions. I really enjoyed myself here. I will never forget all the experiences that I had for these 6 days in London & as a whole 6 weeks in UK. Not forgetting, the work experience that I had at Loughborough University. It has been great & knowledgeable week that I had, learning new things & the work environment in UK

Farewell to UK & hello to sunny island of hot & wet Singapore. We'll be back to spore on sunday night. Thereafter, Monday is our 1st day of Yr3 =)

this sunday will be going to London for 6 nights b4 heading home on sat & reach on sun
1 day b4 school starts !!! LOL
I'm gonna miss this place man... sigh
I have been enjoying here from the work to weather to food & to the supervisors
Britsh ppl are kind & humble, not like spore ppl

Trip to Bicester Village Shopping Centre

Yesterday (UK Time), we went to this shopping centre, where they sell branded goods at a cheaper rate. Went there by taxi (1 1/2hr journey). It's located near bicester town ctr at oxfordshire, Oxford. In this village, they were well known like Puma,Reebok, Fred Perry,Timberland, Tommy Hillfiger, Quiksilver, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Burberry, Polo Ralph Lauren & more but some i never heard before. We went shopping for 7 hrs.

I bought jeans from Polo Ralph Lauren that costs 34.99 pounds, Orange Polo-T from Tommy Hillfiger that costs 31 pounds & Reebok shoes. The reebok shop has Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer !!! In the end, I bought 2 pair of shoes for the price of 1. One white/lime green casual shoe (38 pounds) & black running shoe (24 pounds). So, I only pay 38 pounds for 2 pair of shoes !!! Isnt that worth it ? =)

Btw today we went to Lboro Twn Ctr to buy Thorntorns Chocolates as well as eating hot potatoes and famous fish & chips' Traveller Catch =)

i think I'll grow fat since I came here =(

Trip to Leicester City 2

I went to Leicester myself to buy some things...
1st, went to tourist info ctr to buy some leicester souvenirs. total 12 pounds
2nd, went to sportsdirect shop to buy adidas dry fit T-shirt that cost 16.29 pounds
then, went to have lunch at maryland chicken fastfood restaurant. It costs 3.78 pounds
Finally, went around the leicester mosque & the islamic academy. Nvr took photos at these 2 places coz it was too early & at that point of time, it's not even zohor yet.
Yup, thats all... I reach back at hostel around 2.15pm.
Then, started doing the database that Min Nah asked me to do
btw, tmr will be going to bicester village shopping ctr at oxfordshire
To those OITP students from Ireland, have a safe journey back to the sunny island of Singapore.
I will see all of u guys back in class on april 20

Trip to Nottingham City

It's 10.55pm (sat) UK, 6.55am spore

Last week & just now, we went to Nottingham, UK. I can tell u. We really had fun !!!

Last week (21st March)
We went to Leicester but then we last min make plans to go to Nottingham from leicester. Went there by train. When we reached there, it was so big that we had to explore much by walking around.

Then, we came across a very big ferris Wheel. it's call Wheel of Notingham. We ride on it & there were spectacular views of the city, which I find it very worthwhile. We can see many castles & churches. it was clear on that day. After that, went to fastfood shop for lunch.

After that, went around the city centre & shopping mall. The atmosphere is better than Leicester in terms of the crowd & the number of shops. We came across this particular sports shop. It offers 30% discount !!! Khair bought jerseys for his family while i just walking around, looking for ideas on what to buy since I cant make decisions at the beginning.

Just now (28th March)
Went to Nottingham again... this time, we are visiting the attractions. First one, Nottingham castle. Before we get in. Saw a group of performers walking twrds the castle. They were dressed in colourful costumes. no idea what is the event about but they perform near the Robin Hood Statue (since Nottingham is well known as Home of Robin Hood). They were dancing & make some moves that made me entertain. I got record the video of it, which i dun think i can upload in the net due to size. After that, went in to the castle & explore the scnery plus museum. The Muesum displays things that are related to the castle as well as History of Nottingham.

After that, went to NCCL Galleries of Justice. This attraction was voted as best attractions in 2003. We went for the 2pm tour. The tour guide bring us around the former court building. We get to experience how is it like to be in court, till ended up in jail & prosecution. It was damn fun I tell u... I enjoyed myself today. =D

Then, went to buy some Nottingham castle souvenirs as well as souvenirs of Nottingham from visitor ctr.

Lastly, went to the sprts shop again. I have already made up my mind. I bought Umbro Trackpants, Basketball Jersey & shorts as well as Sleeveless running top & shorts. These 4 each cost 13.99 pounds... Isnt that cheap ? I wish I can buy somemore but no time... maybe next wanna buy sports shoes & T-shirts.

Next weekend, maybe we are going to either Derby or Birmingham. Btw later from 2am UK time, UK have to adjust their time 1 hour ahead. They will be following BST (British Summer Time) instead of GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) due to movement of sun. That means the time difference between Spore & Uk is 7 hours instead of 8 hours

Trip to Leicester City

It's 10.15pm UK (Saturday), 6.15am Spore (sunday)

Just now, me & khair went to leicester city centre to explore. Went out from hostel around 9.30am and arrive back at hostel around 7pm... Went there by Arriva bus 127. The fare is damn expensive... 2.40 pounds =.=. The journey went round & round the estates before reaching bus-station.

We went there to explore the city. I found out that it is more vibrant & happening than Loughborough Town Centre, which is dull. The atmosphere is like Orchard Rd. I also found out that there were many halal food that i can eat. I went around the shops there & the prices are quite reasonable. Besides exploring the city centre, went to buy meat at a Halal butcher shop. Then, we ate at chinese buffet restaurant for just 10 pound with a drink. It was yummy. After that, went to shopping centre. The place is like vivocity. The majority of shops are high-end ones like topman, river island, etc... the clothes that are very expensive.

Then, went back by bus 127 (45 mins ride) & alight at the bus-stop near twn ctr. From there, have to walk 30 mins to hostel...

Yup, thats about it... gd nite =D

and btw, the pronounciation for leicester is "les-ter", not "le-chest-ter" !!! haha =D

OITP @ UK

It's 8.40pm UK (thursday), 4.40am spore (friday)

I had my 1 week of ITP last week & I find the things that I did was enjoyable though i get to do less things. The place that I got posted to for OITP is Department of Materials, Loughborough University. The Hostel that I stay is named Falkner-Eggington Hall, which is 15 mins walk from where I work. In other words, I have to walk to & fro everyday !!! haha

Basically, my task is to perform old experiments & try to come up with new methods to test & at the same time produce same results. Besides that, I help the researchers in anything that they do

The temperature here is very cold. It's like u step outside like a refigerator. there's sun too but not hot. There's one time got hailstorm, where small ice cubes fall from sky as rain !!! How cool is that.

I just woke up just now ard 5am

Temperature is freaking cold here

Total time that I took from stepping out of my house to reaching the hostel is 28 hours !!!

Damn long sia... First, we take plane to London Heathrow, transit at Abu Dhabi...

First time ride an aeroplane. The take off is my favourite part !!! Wohoo

I cant believe that I'm going to UK for ITP

Then, after reaching London, need to take coach from Central bus station to Leceister b4 transferring to another coach to Loughborough

Then, went to security gatehouse to get Hostel keys & then walk to our hostel.

At that point of time, it was raining cats & dogs !!!

Yup, thats about it =D

Overall, I enjoyed the trip very much especially all that I did so far is first time

-experiencing cold weather

$1500 plus using my savings to pay for air tix

Dad's Sickness

It's february 2009.... time files.
Just to share some sad news... my dad admitted to SGH for sudden stroke (high BP)
Incident happened last fri
my dad stopped at side road (drive taxi) coz he was feeling dizziness. A passer-by saw my dad & call an ambulance. He fainted on the way to SGH.
Found out that one of the arteries break.. causing blood to flow out to the brains.
Now, in ICU ward 52B, SGH block 5 level 2
Feeling ok, in stable condition by still very weak.
My dad did not take daily medication since last yr to reduce BP =.=
To all my friends, mind offer some prayers to my dad on speedy recovery. Thanks

Some enlightenment

I just shave just now !!!! YES !!! I just shave my moustache. haha.... hopefully this can enlighten u guys...

Anyway, it's the brand new year, 2009. New Year, new resolutions, etc. Hopefully this year will be a smooth sailing one in my life. I got back my MST results. I pass 4 papers but i fail 2 of them. Fail due to my carelessness & lack of write-up. Nvr mind, I will buck up.

Just now, I got help out in polymer scrabble, I must say that it's a good one though not so many audiences. Overall, i enjoyed it. Hopefully, there will be again nxt yr. Exams is 6 weeks away & i have not started to revise due to my homeworks & datasheets, which just keep coming in non-stop. I will start revising soon. Yesterday, I just ended my last report of the semester =D I have yet to start my exercise regime. Oh God, please give me motivation. Maybe Boon Kiat is my source of motivation =)

YS Farewell Dinner with Bro Salleh

This afternoon after school, I went to Beach Rd food ctr after school with YS members & Bro Salleh. It's somehow the farewell dinner with him coz tmr he will be departing to Egypt on 13 nov, 2am. Well, I ate Ayam Penyet & Satay. We just have a chit chat. i had fun though we sit at separate tables. Went home from there around 6pm plus... I also met new friend named Khairul Anwar, Rashid's 2nd cousin.

YS Chillout@ECP cum farewell party to Bro Salleh

Yesterday, I had fun at ECP. We had the YS gathering cum farewell party to bro salleh. Luckily, Bro Salleh didnt know about our secret gathering for him till me, bro rizal brought him there around 11am. Supposed to start at 10am but in the end, he woke up late. There were games such as telematchetc & food etc. The food was nice. Most of it was sponsor, thanks to YS members. I didnt participate at all coz I'm the cameraman. me & Bro Rizal bring along sis waheeda. She's going to be our assistant YDO. Great man...

The best part of this outing was i get to know each other better. Apart from that, I get to learn new skills such as playing soccer, etc... all thanks to bro salleh. The climax part was sabotaging. Our plan is to drag him to the sea... but, he's to strong. But then, he finally surrender himself & one of my friend drag him to the sea. Bro rizal was seen dragging to the sea too. me ? nearly coz i ran away, giving the excuse as my clothes. I did bring the clothes i supposed to wear for swim, but then i was lazy to change... If I changed at that time, u can drag me to the sea but then again, i prefer if i just jump to the sea myself... haha. anyway in the end, i didnt kena that but only ppl throwing flour & waterbomb at me while i'm playing soccer. haha =D. Speaking of soccer, Bro Salleh just bought it for YS & has a signature of him, so that when we play the ball, we'll always remember him.

Around the evening, something bad happened. Bro Salleh's uncle passed away. In the end, our prog have to be shifted foward as he has to go home early. We had our doa perpisahan, which i find it sad for me. After that, we did stayed at ECP for so long till 10.45pm, where they finally wants to go home !!! Went home by bro rizal car & reached home at 0115hrs.

*Btw, to Bro Salleh, even if I knew u for only 1 month, the friendship,experience,guidance (esp teaching me soccer) that u have given to me is something that I will tressure it for the rest of my life. I will never forget u though u always tease me at the mosque all the time. =D Thanks for evrything. I will see u in 3 yrs time, passing with flying colours. Friends Forever !!! =D To the 4 organisers, thank u for organising this event. it's really fun & enjoyable. I really2 appreciated ur hard work to make this event a successful one. Good job & effort !!! kudos to u guys =D

U guys might be wondering where will he heads to ? He will be heading to Egypt to continue his school at AL-Azhar uni, taking arabic lang studies.

It's week 4 of school... looks like I only update my blog on tues & thurs... haha
Nothing much to say. Stage 2A is very taxing !!! 6 reports per 2 weeks.... haiz. and lots of challenging stuffs. I wonder whether I can cope or not. haiz... =(
Btw I will buy a basketball soon. Mr Chin, relax lah... I'm not lazy. it's just that time doesnt allow me to do the things that I always wanted to (u know what i mean) =)

Week 3

Time files very fast.It's week 3 of School. Nothing much to update
Last tues, went for 2km jog at stadium. took 17 mins. need to improve alot.
Yesterday, went for ITP briefing, followed by polymer day/night meeting.
Will be helping out during polymer nite as logistics for LT1A(A), with ming siu as i/c
Today, no BIA tutorial coz Dr Ng is sick. Whole lesson ends at 2pm
went to sultan mosque to settle something & discuss about future plan for 2009 with sis wahidah & khairuddin
Yup, thats about it
I will be looking forward for tmr's outing with my new friend. Hopefully he/she can make it =D

Sports day

Today after polysci tutorial, went to FC3 for makan. After that, play badminton with Shi min,khair, Rong Cheng & Charles. SOooo long nvr play badminton. I wear shorts inside my jeans but nvr change them !!! haha =D. I perspire my whole body... Originally, wanna go gym with leng heng they all but realised that my admin card is with the photocopy shop auntie. In the end, I nvr go. I play badminton instead.

After that, accompany shi min go bball court to watch the girls play. I did try to shoot for 2 times. Guess what ? I score at the 2nd attempt !! haha... so lucky. SOmemore, the region that I shoot i score 3 points le... =D Nvr mind, I will buy bball soon & i can play alone during my free time or with my friends. Met Wee Hong at the court & I asked him for his number just in case i can bball with him. After that, went for 2 lectures b4 heading home

Hari Raya Outing with my Sec School friends

Yesterday was fun... went out with sec school for hari raya. Start from 10.30am & ends at 10pm. My friend book a 19-seater bus, which costs $35/hr. Each person fork out $20. We cover 13 houses !!! not bad ar. This one is better than last week's YS Jalan Raya. All houses got cook food except mine....=D I purposely ask my mum not to cook coz I know they will be bloated after eating on each every house. Oh yes, the houses that we covered is Jurong West area & as further as Pandan Gardens. The reason for the chartered bus is due to the number of houses that we cover. There were 18 of us following this trip, which some went home early due to other commitments

1st week of school has just past...

Monday
I had polysci & matsci lecture. Matsci is the 1st module to start a proper lesson. It's about the BCP,FCP thingy. Was confusing at the 1st place but i managed to understand. After that, 3 pract briefing... one of them is a super strict lecturer, which some of my friends blog about it... =) Well, what to do. Different lecturers have different style... We just have to overcome it. No choice that we have to face him

Tuesday
The longest day for this sem. I had Envsta lecture about Mr Kwok's air pollution followed by Dr Lim's safety & health. The rest, introdutory lecture for PMAI,BIA. After that, went to mosque for docent hajj meeting... reach home at 10.30pm

Wednesday
No school in the morning coz the prac briefing for the 2 modules brought fwrd. I came to school for GEMS, which is GCL. The lecturer is indeed a experience one. Just that, there's some part that I find it dull but overall very informative coz 1st time i learnt so much thing about German such as ich liebe Destchland (I love Germany in German) lol =D After that, went home

Thursday (Yesterday)
No school due to the same reason as wed. Went to Sultan mosque with Rashid to discuss about the brochure thingy followed by discussion about Korban

Friday (Today)
I had PI lecture about intro to PI... Mr Kong is the lecturer. Well, anyway, after that, had our 1st prac for the sem, which is MATSCI expt 5. The 7 of us. After that, lunch at FC3 with khair. Then, went to mosque for prayer. After that, PMAI lecture about PVC & addition polymerisation. After that, went home.

Today, i'm going to blog about the modules that I'm going to take from nxt week onwards when i start schooling:

CP4009 Basic Instrumental Analysis [BIA]
Provides basic practical laboratory skills and theoretical knowledge to analyse the chemical contents of chemicals. In particular, the subject examines sampling, UV-visible spectrometry, flame atomic absorption, solvent extraction and chromatography. It is a useful introduction to many forms of chemical analysis.

CP4010 Environmental Studies A [ESA]
Provides students with theoretical knowledge of environmental chemistry and environmental management. It aims to enhance a growing environmental awareness towards resource optimisation, waste minimisation, environmental impact assessment and industrial health and safety. Encourages students to develop problem-solving skills and to think as well as learn independently.

CP4011 Process Instrumentation [PI]
Covers measurements of common process variables e.g. temperature, flow, level and pressure, and common types of valves and safety instrumentation . There is a broad-based emphasis on handson experience in the laboratory, which involves pilot plants with embedded transducers, transmitters, sensors, signal selectors, controllers and control valves.

CP4014 Polymer Science [POLYSCI]
Gives a general understanding of polymerisation, transition temperatures, structure/properties relationship and molecular weight determination methods.

CP4027 Materials Science [MATSCI]
Covers the structure, properties and applications of important metals, alloys, and ceramics. Students will be taught phase equilibrium, phase rule and solid solutions.

CP4069 Plastics Materials and Additives I [PMAI]
Covers the manufacture, properties and applications of polyolefins, styrene-based polymers, vinyl chloride polymers, acrylics, and formaldehyde-based plastics. Other topics included are additives such as heat stabilisers, plasticisers, lubricants, fillers, impact modifiers, blowing agents and pigments. Common tests for plastics such as physical, thermal, chemical, electrical, optical, flammability and melt flow are also included.

GEM Module:
Introduction to German Culture and Language (LC316A/LC516A) [GCL]
Aims to broaden the students' knowledge of Germany, the language, customs and culture of the people as well as the learning and business opportunities available. Students will learn simple German phrases for survival and do's and donts when in the company of Germans. Lessons will be taught through tutorials, group discussions, and where possible, interaction with German speakers. Assessments will include an individual research assignment, a group project and a test.

So basically, this is what I'm going to expect for the next sem & I hear that it's not going to be easy. Tmr, going out.

It's Day 5 of Hari Raya. Today, i did not went out with my family. The whole family stays at home. Today, Only 3 families came to my house. So boring !!!

Oh well, What can I say. My mum is sick. So, we cant go visiting our relatives. There's still more to visit !!! Nothing much to say. I just end my blog here. Tmr, going to sultan mosque for a meeting... Bye ! =D

Sorry for not updating my blog for so long...

Anyway, today is 1st day of october & 1st day of Hari Raya !!! Finally after fasting for 1 month, we celebrate our victory of ramadhan by hari raya. I went to my grandparents house... Did managed to collect some "ang pao" $ (about $30 plus). I was so happy coz i get to eat alot ??? haha plus meeting my cousins & my relatives.

Now, talking about school. 12 days to Sem 2 & I have seen the timetable. It's quite ok for me coz not evryday I finished at 5pm. Hopefully, I can cope with ALL of the modules for Yr2 Sem 2. I still havent decide what to take for GEMS but what I know is I have to choose from Arts & humanities cluster.

Since Ramdhan is over, I can finally go out with my friends !!! BASKETBALL, SWIMMING, OUTINGS with friends & so on... cant wait for that =)

Yup, thats about it. To all my muslim friends, SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI !!! Forgive me for all my wrongdoings =D

Eve of Ramadhan 1429H

Today is the last day of august... Tmr, muslims starts to fast for 1 month... I wish all my muslim friends a HAPPY RAMADHAN 1429H...

Since exams are over, I got lots of things in my mind but i dun know what to start first !!! But, what i know was I'm NOT going to find a job coz I mostly busy with the mosque activities =D Here is the list on what I want to do during the Holidays:

1) Tidy up my room ( IN A MESS RITE NOW)
2) Spring cleaning my house =D
3) Outing with my friends (especially Lin Keong, Jia Hui, Leng Heng for basketball)
4) Help out in Sultan Mosque activities
5) Doing docent at the mosque, spreading da'wa & at the same time, earn some $$$ for effort =D
6) Plan out my Sept planner

I think that's all i can think of right now =D
Just now, my family & I went to Geylang to buy my baju Kurung (purple) for hari raya at Second Chance. I met Rohani at TKC , with her family.

Post-Exams & RYC Launching 1429H/2008

Exams are over... Like finally lor. Last paper was easy but then got qns i still dunno how to do. So, overall the 4 papers were generally manageable. Hope that I can score at least 3.0 cumulative GPA grade.

Today, I had a RYC launch event @ Sultan Mosque. The event was so grand, with performances & competitions... I enjoyed the contents !!! Judging by the crowd, I think the NOP event will be x2 the people !!! =D. After the event, stayed at mosque & sleep before meeting Bro Demas for the CD Sale thingy. After asar, went back for volunteers get-together session. Went home & reached at 2015 hrs

Yesterday after my last paper, went to Sultan Mosque for overnight. We discussed about the RYC Camp 2008. I did not sleep throughout at night coz i was not feel sleepy at that time. Instead, me & khai camp at the office, surfing internet. At times, I did lie on the table for a while to rest my eyes. Had breakfast with him at a coffeeshop (24 hrs). I had chicken murtabak.

Yup, thats about it. Today is Day 1/44 of my holidays... 2 more days to the fasting mth =D

STUDY WEEK DAY 4

Today at morning, went to SP to do math.... I finish till tutorial 6. After that, went swimming at SP Swim Pool... Nice hot sun !!! good for tanning lol =D. Only swim for a few laps. Then, went home by 185. Reached home at 2pm plus

Then at home as usual, surf net before continue to do my math. Oh no, I have to chiong for my other subjects coz i havent touch yet. I only touch PPI & EMII. Ok, i must not panic.

Yup,that's about it. Tmr morning, i think i want to cycle around the estate =D

STUDY WEEK DAY 3

Today, I had GEMS test... I'm not sure whether i can make it or not but i'm confident that I will do well for it. Before that, I had last math lesson or shld i say last lesson of the semester !!! =D Lecturer went through 1 past yr paper....

After GEMS test, went to John Little Jrg point to buy renoma singlets. I have bought them, which costs $18.90 for 3 (white, grey & black =DD). Now, I have bought them. I can used for my sports attire such as jogging or even for my swim at sea... I buy coz i like it =D Feel that I wanna wear it... soooo sexy sia lol =D

STUDY WEEK DAY 2

Today as usual at home studying... I finally finish writing my POPRI notes. Yup, today I only study that. Other than that, watch olympics especially the swimming events & weigh lifting =) I cant resist the olympics coz it's once in 4 yrs. I surf net as well.

Just wanna share with u guys something. I'm kinda being random here. I'm going to talk about sports that I do:

BASKETBALL
My main reason is due to my height. Since I'm 1.85m tall. So, why waste opportunity but to try it out. If can, I wanna be a bball player. To achieve this, I need to play it with my friends like Lin Keong, Xavier or Wee hong or anyone else who can play this sport. The bad part is i dun have a basketball at home. I have to buy it so that I can practice near my hse there coz the bball court is just beside my house =)

SWIMMING
Another sports that I like. For this, I intend to do at my own pace coz i can only do breaststroke. I only swim for leisure. It will be appreciated if any of my friends can accompany me instead of me swimming alone =) I not only swim but also tan as well coz i like to get darker =) One more thing, I also love to swim at the sea/beach... =D

CAPTAINBALL
My reason is somewhat similar to basketball. I also like this sports coz usually during sec sch, I always play this. My only weakness is to be the catcher, standing in the chair coz i'm not good in catching the ball... u know what i mean, Mr chin ??? LOL =D What I can hope from this sport is I will be able to be a good catcher next time if there's any competition involving this sport. If can, I rather be in the court running around than being a catcher !!!

BADMINTON
This one not so my favourite but i seldomly play this sport. My only weakness is how to start the game !!! (How to serve the shuttlecock in the beginning). The last time i play this sport is with my classmates at SP Sports Hall. I treat this sport as my free time & this is so called my leisurely sport

However, with all the sports that I mention above, I'm really not like a pro sia... I just dun understand why I cant master at LEAST 1 SPORT ? I wonder why... Is it that I'm so weak in it or what ??? MY ONLY hope is to master at least 1 of the above-mentioned sports. Please lah, I must be good in at least one of it, right ? =) With that, I came up with a poll for u guys to vote... pls vote !!! thanks =) U have till the end of the yr to vote =D

STUDY WEEK DAY 1

Today is Day 1 of study week and I didnt do anything today but just rot at home because of these reasons.

First, I feeling sick since yesterday... When i woke up, I still had flu & headache. Very painful sia... I dun have the mood to study. If I study just now, I dun think i absorb a single thing that i study. I just rot at home, lying on the bed & surf net only.

Second, the lift upgrading programme... it was sooooo noisy outside !!! ALL THE BANGING sound, here & there... woah, cant take it sia... Oh well, what can i say but i just continue with life lor... no choice. Eventually, good will turn out to be... A NEW LIFT DIRECTLY UP TO MY HOME, probably in 2 yrs time =D. Oh ya, btw, I didnt went out for exercise =.= haiz... Never mind, now I'm feeling better now, only flu. I have to start studying tmr, no matter what. i will start with S&PM & POPRI. Maybe, I'll go out for an exercise tmr morning...

EL Class @ Sultan Mosque

As usual, today I got EL class to teach to the maids... They were having EL oral, simple one =)

I find that most of them are generally fine, except for one or two. Overall, I enjoyed the session. After that, I went home straight away... took service 32 & transfer to 185 at BV. Wow, 2 hrs journey, just to save my MRT fares =) After reaching home, I slack at home, surfing net. Btw, I feeling sick right now (headache & flu). But i need to exercise such as swim,bball,cycle or jog. Now, I'm sick. How on earth i can do that ? Hopefully I will recover by tmr. if not ar, gg lah... i'm now getting fatter, correct jia hui ? lol =D. I have never weigh myself at the weighing scale since last yr !!! LOL =D I think now i weigh 95+ kg perhaps ?

Yup, thats about it. Tmr, Week 18, which is study week. 12 days to 1st paper =)

GMD CAD Test 2

Today, I had Gmould last CAD test... The drawing is actually ok. It's just that i cant get it at some parts. So, i can declare that my ability is only up till the max... This & the pract lesson (drawing of mould) at workshop marks the end of Graphics & mould design (GMD) module, which i find it so hard to achieve good grades...

Yup, thats about it. Tmr, last assignment of the semester. Colours project. =D

Last week of school (Week 17)

It's the month of august... My exam month. 17 days to 1st paper.

okok Jia Hui, I will update now =D. Just now, i had nanomat test. It was ok though and as usual, i forgot some parts... so, i might not get good marks. Lesson ends at 2pm. The Tyre company talk is at 6.30pm. So, i use my free time to do QAAS MCQs... I leave some qns blank coz i dun know how to do. The MCQ qns is really tough... =D

Just now, I attend the tyre company (mindtyre... pronounced as mint tyre) talk... It was interesting coz i got to learn how tyres were made. and I didnt know that there were many types of tyres. most of the audiences were adults from the rubber or polymer companies. There were only 7 students attending the talk... the 3rd yr students plus me. I met Jason =D. The whole talk ends at 8.20pm... A Long, dull, boring talk but informative =)

Yup, that's it for now. tmr, lessons start at 11am...

Just finished my QAAS tutorial 8...

It's Week 16 of year 2... and my exams are in 2 weeks time !!!:-

EMII (21/8), QAAS (25/8), S&PM(27/8), POPRI(29/8)
All papers start from 2-4.10pm except QAAS, which ends at 5.10pm.

I will start revising pretty soon. =D I know that I have not updated my blog... Many things have happened especially my trip to malacca, helping out at the stall at assyakirin mosque, taking my QAAS spot quiz, etc... I'll update one by one

Today, I got back my QAAS spot quiz 3 results. I got full marks for it for the 1st time, which makes me happy. My class got 4 more people get full marks. Not bad sia. Yesterday, S&PM practical test. I kena the flexural expt, which i find it ok. Just that i mix up the b & d values... haiz.... makes me study so hard but in the end, wrong thing...

last sunday, I helped out a stall selling finger food at assyakirin mosque in conjunction with women's day (MERAK). I had a great time though it's somehow last min. Last saturday, went to macritichie with YD ppl for YS trial run of trekking. We just exploring the places where we can have ckpoints, etc. We took photos of the nature. I had a great time.Lucky it was not so hot at that time.

Thats all I can remember of. I'll post the photos that i took from the malccca trip.

"Blessings for all" event @ Al-Iman Mosque

The table that I help on =)

Today, I have to help out for a big event. For the 1st time, Rahmatan Lil Amin is organising "Blessings for all" event outside Al-Iman mosque (Bt Panjang). This is in lieu of racial harmony month, where different races & religion from poor as well as elderly people get together

I went there by train & LRT... I arrived at 8.15am but the programme will only start at 10.30am. During the morning, I'm waiting for people to sit at my designated table, table 6 out of total of 100 tables !!! =D I was surprised to see the police plus screen checks. This is because the GOH is our PM. That's why. When the people arrived at table 6, i greeted them. Oh ya, btw my task is just simple. Helping out to serve food to the people. The food was quite nice and alot too... The menu was Chicken Briyani,Soto Ayam, Tao Suan,Bread & chicken curry,fruits and kuih bakar. Multi-racial foods =)

While serving ppl food, we are enterained by performances from dikir barat, choir, kindergarten kids,magician Imran, nasyid by syamil and lots more. I really enjoy them very much especially when i see the smiles of all people just now. The whole thing ends at 12.30pm. I straight away went home coz me & bro rizal were tired.

Yup, that's about it. =) Btw, to SP WSC club, maybe u guys can help in this event nxt time coz they want to make this a yearly event =D

Volunteer Pre-Retreat at Sultan Mosque

Today, I had a pre-retreat session. Guess what ? I'm the only one from YS that came =.=" Oh well, i cant say anything. Overall, it's quite enriching though it's only for a few hours. I get to mix with other volunteers, all of whom are older than me !!! After that, went home by bro rizal's car.

Sports Day cum MST Results Part III

Today indeed was a sports day for me !!!

After TASC pract, went to play some sports with Rong Cheng, Khair & Bernard. 1st, we play badminton at Sports hall. I had fun though I'm not good in it. As usual, Bernard makes me laugh all the time =D

Then next, went to basketball court to play basketball. Yad joins us too. I manage to score some goals. As usual, Rong Cheng is the BEST !!! So power sia in his skills. Hopefully, i can play bball like him in future. I had fun playing though the weather is so HOT.

Then, the last one is soccer... YES !!! SOCCER. Cant u believe it ? Somemore 1st time play at SP and 1st time being a goalkeeper !!! =D But then, not at the field, but just at a soccer court near FC3. I had fun too though I admit myself that I cant play it !!! Oh ya,play with fellow SP mates. Overall, I told myself that playing bball is better than soccer =)

After that, went back for lessons. They ponteng class lor !!! expected lah. Today, I got back my SPM MST results. i got 74/100 for it, which i'm happy about it. Hopefully, I will continue to do better or at least maintain it...

yup, that's all =) Maybe, we shld include jogging & swimming in our so-called sports day, nxt time ? LOL =D

MST Results Part II

Today, I got back my Gmould Results. The CAD test i got 66/100 while the drawing one i get 60.5/100, which i find it is ok for me. Today Gmould lesson learn new stuffs too.

After Gmould lesson with bot of my lecturers, I went to play basketball with ivan,nigel,berd,leng heng,Rong Cheng & boon kiat. I change to my sprts attire and start playing. It was fun playing and bernard is damn funny lor !! He show anyhow want =D Boon Kiat too... play so rough sia & somemore wanna show his sexy body !!! HAHA =D. I manage to score about 4-5 times. I play against Nigel & Leng heng. Wow, I didnt know that my classmates are so good in bball. Apart from Leng Heng, Nigel & Rong Cheng also !!! =D I enjoyed playing though it's only 1 1/2 hrs. Next time we play again alright ?

Next, we have PPI lesson. We got back our results and i score 52/100, which is ok too. I did try my best to do well but in the end, this is what i get. Maybe I shld do MORE & MORE practice perhaps ? =D and btw, i also got back my GEMS test. i got 32/50.

Yup, that's about it. Now, left S&PM result. Maybe I'm going to get that on tmr's lesson ?

MST Results Part I & Nanomat Assignment Presentation

Wohoo... It's already July. Time flies very fast =D

Today, I got the result of EMII. I got 38/50 for it, which is ok lah for me. The paper will only be given back tmr likewise for QAAS... Cant wait to get the results and move on from there...

On my way to school, I met wee hong, my captainball cum basketball friend from CLS 1st yr. Hopefully, i can meet him again and ask for his contact so that i can play bball with him, perhaps ? =D

Today, the last lesson of the day is Nanomat. We had grp assignment. Our grp is the first to present about applications of medical nanotechnology. Mr Nee commended our presentation, which is good and organised. I was like wow coz we only do the ppt slides yesterday nite for 7 hrs !!! Well, our effort pays off. Well done my grp ! =D

MYSPEX Bowling 2008

Today, I went to West Coast Recreation Centre for MYSPEX bowling event. We have a grp of 5 boys representing YS. Even though they cant make it for finals, overall, they enjoyed themselves. I came late though so i didnt saw much action from them. After that, me & bro rizal went for lunch at jrg east b4 going to Gek Poh CC to meet with rashid for Sultan Youth. I saw sheikh =D as well as a bunch of familiar faces from westwood sec. We discuss about the inter-faith exchange programme. After that, went home.

Yup, that's about it. Later, EURO 2008. Dun know whether want to watch or not. Tmr, Week 12. Lessons as per normal =)

I know i have not been blogging coz i'm busy.

Anyway, today my last day of Mid-Semester Test (MST), which is SPM. The paper was quite ok to handle. Finally, tests finish already. Other modules such as QAAS,EMII & QM I can do it whereas GMD & PPI... cant say anything. Results are up next next week, maybe ? I dun know...

For the past few weeks, I have been active in Young sultans... Btw, i dun mind holding the post as the LPM member of sultan mosque when i reach 20 nxt time... haha =D In this way, i can change their mindset right now.

Mass Kahwin @ Sultan Mosque

Last Sunday, Sultan Mosque organised first-ever Mass Kahwin, where 4 couples solemnised in one go. This is the first time such an event like this in singapore. Why I'm there ? coz I'm the photographer !!! Not that official lah =)

The Akad nikah was held at the back of main prayer hall. The reception was held at auditorium & MPH. I had find taking photos from sis faza 's camera !!! First time, u know. haha =D Although the event was simple, the people comment that it was so grand. Everyone in the MPH (Multi-Purpose Hall) was happy. I saw the 4 couples too. What's unique about this is there's one couple, who's a chinese-muslim man married to malay-muslim lady and there's another one, a malay-muslim man married to an indian-muslim lady. So, it's somehow a multi-racial wedding. The highlights of the event is the tea ceremony, which is conducted by the parents from chinese-muslim man. This is my first time i witness the chinese tradition of tea ceremony. Btw, the MC of the day was TG, a DJ from Warna 94.2FM. I even took a photo fo him at the end. I ate the briyani with the mosque officials and i'm the only youth !!! haha =D

An Inconvenient Truth

Today, I watch a documentary entitiled "An Inconvenient Truth" at GV VivoCity. I watch with my sister. The show started at 1330 hrs. It's a 94 mins long. It's about global warming that Mr Al gore, former US president candidate talks about. I have learnt quite a number of facts. I also learnt something that I dont know for all my lifes. Just 1 fact to share. US is the major contributor emissions of CO2 gasses (30%). I enjoyed the documentary. However, my sis somehow dun understand coz the english used is too high for her.

After that, went to mosque for prayer then to Banquet HarbourFront ctr for lunch !!! I was full !!! Then, took 97 & 198 home. we reached home ard 5 plus.

3 Unexpected moments

1) Suppose to meet Leng Heng they all for QAAS assignment. I thought they all were late. so, i ate at FC2 first coz i'm hungry. Guess what ? Leng Heng called me where am I... They are alrdy at the library !!! haiz. Reach there, feel so guilty coz they gonna finish discussing =(

2) Leng Heng make a decision that i need to leave the captainball team coz of my finger injury & lack of my willpower. Well, what can i say coz i'm really not that strong. So, i have no choice but just accept it. haiz.... it's fated that i cant play sports that well. But, I promise to myself that I want to play bball with leng heng leisurely when i'm free =D

3) Went home took svc 185... bus was travelling on PIE. Guess what ? the bus captain (BC) drive wrong route !!! he shld turn left from PIE twrds jrg town hall but instead, he go straight !!! I was like... huh ???? ppl in the bus started to wonder but none of them except 1 affect by this they are not angry. I rush down and told the BC about it. The BC told me that he will continue the journey but instead exit at jrg canal dr, turn right & continue from there... pity those who waited at 4 bus-stops missed by the bus & have to wait for the nxt bus for sooooo long.

Woah, what a unexpected moment i have today !!! =)

Trip to Nek Long's Kampung house @ Johor Bahru

Day 1
Met the rest of my relatives at JB neaar Pantai Lido at 9am. Had breakfast sponsored by one of my uncle. There were 3 vehicles. I board the car with my mum & uncle & 2 aunties. rest of my cuzzie board the van. After evrything, off we go !!! to Kampung Bagan Laut, Batu Pahat, JB. we pass by the Msia NSE. According to them, we must exit at spg renggam, then turn left to batu pahat. All the way till jucntion then go straight again !!! What a long journey !!! every thing took 1 1/2 hrs by land.

1st Captainball Training

Today, i got captainball training with leng heng, elaine, cindy & wee hong !!! I get to meet new CLS people !!! =D Training is like ok lah... passs ball, practice on catching the ball, etc. Leng HEng told me that I need to be the catcher. I have to train very hard for the team. Anyway, linus & azhar A also join us !!! Thanks linus for being my coach... =) We kinda dissapointed coz only half of us attend the training. Throughout the training, i practice different skills such as dribble the ball. After that, we play basketball for a while. Guess what ? I manage to score 4 times !!! This is my 1st time i play basketball with my SP friends. Aft that, went home with Wee Hong. He live ard my area. We had a long chat. Nice knowing ya... somemore my junior sia =D His basketball skills damn good sia. How i wish i could be like him =)

Exchange Programme with Batam Raya Mosque Part 2

Now i am having my break for 2 hrs while waiting for polymer processing lecture. I use this time to update on my day 2 of the Batam trip...

Day 2 (sunday)
I did not get sufficient sleep. I only slept for 2 hrs. After waking up, i went for subuh prayers followefd by breakfast. I had Bubur Kacang with bananas... It was yummy. It's different from the singapore version, where we use gula melaka as the syrup. Instead, i think it's either they use milk or coconut milk. After breakfast, Young Sultans & Bata youth continue the day 1 discussion. After that, we decided to play some games to entertain them. We play chop chili chop =D, blindfold game etc. I must say that they enjoy themselves with the games. After games, we had the closing ceremony, where both the youth grps gave final address. After everything, bro beni gave us some token of appreciation. After the whole thing, had doa perpisahan. That's our way of bidding farewell with them. After that, had lunch & zohor prayers and we left the mosque.

Encik Fuad decided to bring us to Nagoya Hill Shopping ctr since we nvr been there b4. I also get a chance to see the Batam life. I see Tunnel, new houses, kampungs, etc. The Batam now is not as what u think in the past. Abt 15 mins, we reached there. The complex was so huge !!! Btw, the place is owned by a singaporean !!! can u imagine that ??? We as a whole shop together to find cheap deals. The price for some of the items there was generally affordable to us. First thing that i bought was cone chocolate HIGH-Class ice-cream (abt $1.50) !!! Then, we head to A&W for lunch !!! I had a great feast, comprises with a meal includes root beer float & the waffle with ice-cream !!! YUMMY !! i was full by the time i ate the waffle. After that, rounds of shopping b4 we head to a typical fruit shop to buy avocado. I felt strange as i approach the shops. The young kids approach us & ask for money !!! I was like... blur & uneasy coz they keep asking for $$$$$$$. I have no choice but to tahan. Then, we went back to batam ctr to go back to spore.

After asar/magrib prayers at the batam ctr, we realised that we have to depart from singapore at 1830 Batam Time. But then, we did not want to rush back. so, we only left batam at 2030 BT. Then, we have another 1 1/2 hrs to shop at the mega mall. I bought a t-shirt that cost only $7 plus. I also buy a dozen of doughnuts, which costs $5.35 plus !!! Damn cheap. Cheaper that msia. We went home by boarding the ferry at 2030 BT & arrived at spore at 2230 ST. Itwas already super late & i went home via bus 97 & 198. I reach at home at 11.45pm. I was so tired on that nite.

Today after GEMS, I went to this exhibition at Singapore Expo Hall 3. There were over 200 companies, displaying their products/services. me,Khair,yad,christina,hui yin (2B22) went there at 3.45pm. I walk one round with them. I noticed that every exhibition has their own uniqueness of their displays. I enjoyed them very much coz i got to learn about plastics & rubber companies from all over the world and as far as Austria & china !!! I find it interesting. I get to bring back something & flyers !!! This is the must-see thing to do. Tmr is the last day. Overall, this exhibition really open our eyes big2 that joining this course has a bigger opportunities out there.

Exchange Programme with Batam Raya Mosque Part 1

Last Weekend, I had fun at Batam. I had x-change programme with the youths at Batam. Name of mosque was Raya Batam.

Day 1 (Saturday)
I met with the rest of young sultans at harbourfront at 8am Those that went were sis nisa,sis faza,sis daya,me,bro rizal,cik fuad & cik zoso. We board the ferry at 8.30am & reach at 9.30am (Sin time). We were greeted by them at the Batam Ctr. They brought us to the mosque. When I reached there, i was amazed by the view of the mosque. It was huge & spacious. We had the opening ceremony by both spore & batam representative.
Then, it's time to meet with the youth there. by the way, i'm the only bro besides bro rizal went for this programme. I make friends with them. Some of them were still schooling and some are working. The names that I remembered was Rio,Westra,Iwan,Beni (leader),Roberto,Zaman,Budi,Amin etc. We had some games conducted by them too !!! It was fun. Then, we have zohor prayers. The azan was very loud & has a echo, which i like it. It's like the whole batam ctr can hear it. Then, I alos hear another azan somewhere ard the area too. I was told that there's another mosque nearby, the smaller one. As is aid, the prayer hall is about 3 times of sultan mosque. Woman pray at the back w/o partition !!! The interior was nice too with some of the rare decorations.
After that, had lunch. If I remember correctly, they served me quite a number of dishes, which is rice with kangkong, asam pedas fish (actually not the spore type) and fried shredded chili potatoes ( tot it was french fries !!!). After that, the real programme begins. Each rep present about the backgrond of the mosque. After that, Asar prayers follow by continuation of this. Then dinner, NAsi Rawon !!! damn nice. different from singapore style.
At night, the programme was a discussion by encik Fuad. the topic was youth in islam. After that, comm members meet to exchange views & gave suggestions on how to improve as well as sharing on the activities that we had done so far. we slept at ard 1am (Batam tme).

SPENV FO Welcome Tea

Today after GEMS, I attend the Welcome Tea. My purpose is to meet the year 1 students... =) After intro by victor, we then divide the peeps into 3 grps - pen, pencil & eraser. I'm the facilitator for Pencil Group. There were various games that we play - most of them adapted from TICE Eco camp... I had fun with them. Our grp won the 2nd prize. If i remember correctly, my grp have 12-15 peeps. The whole thing ended with refreshments... I went home at ard 8pm plus... actually wanna have dinner with you guys but unfortunately, my parents dun allow me to stay for so long... Keep me updated for the events !!!

Anyway, last sat, went for archery lesson !!! This time, i didn't hit quite a big numbers... After that, met Rashid at Dover coz got Sultan Youth Meeting. We had a fruitful discussion !!! I mean like finally, meet my friends coz long time dun have meeting... After that, follow Rashid to Tampines CC for charity show b4 heading back home at 9.15pm...

Last sunday in the morning, i got a haircut. In the afternoon, i follow my mum to chinatown to buy the accessories for the braclets.

During Vesak Day, Just stay at home doing nothing but doing my assignments.

Today after school, went to Rashid house to settle some stuffs.

Yup, that's about it. 4 days to Batam Trip. and i just signed up for CLS Captainball member to represent CLS !!! In this way, i get to make new friends and at the same time meet up my CLS mates, which i nvr met for SOOOO long... =)

TICE Eco Camp 2008 Day 3

Last day of the camp. It's kinda sad coz i'm going to miss the hostel stay, my grp friends & my faci,Daren. Today, I had breakfast for the last time as a group. Then, we separate into different instituition for the Green Vision. Our SP env club president, Victor announce to us that there will be a change to the proposal coz the one that we discuss yest was more to school's reputation. Hence, we change to other proposal. The NEW proposal that we came up was to introduce a Green Point System, where consumers that go green will given green points & exchange it for free gifts. Isnt that a good idea ? In this way, more & more people are moving towards the green initiative.

The competition was held at 11am. We are the last inst to present. Victor,Alcina & Sean present themselves well to the panel of judges. There were different types of proposal. So creative but unfortunately, the judges were only allowed to choose 2 winners. Guess what ? our grp WON !!! I was like didnt believe coz i thought that other grps idea were good too. Another grp is NUS Team II. We receive the seed funding of US$1500 from DuPoint company, the sponsers for this camp. Today also witness the prize presentation of the Green Mission. We did not won for that.

Then, we had break cum lunch with the grp b4 the results. That's the last meal we had. We did took the grp photo together. Towards the end, it's kinda sad coz we might not be able to see each other again. But, do keep in touch, ok ?

I would like to thank the SMU ppl for organising this camp. It's really enjoyable & fun.

TICE Eco Camp 2008 Day 2

It is Day 2 & We had our green mission (like amazing race), where we need to visit 9 checkpoints to complete the task. The task was so much fun !! I really enjoyed it very much. During the breakfast & lunch breaks, our grp, flame get together & enhance the bond by playing some games from Ernest's idea. Let me tell u something. He's really full of ideas on what games we can play. The Breakfast & lunch was sumptous too. After our lumch break, we continue our quest. We finished the Green Mission at 4,45pm, where we took so much time at the last checkpoint !!! That last game was fun too. It test us our patience & teamwork. After so many failures, we managed to complete it.

Then, we decided to have dinner eariier by 1 hr. I ate quite alot & this is the only time that I had my 2nd serving. The food was nice throughout this camp. mins b4 the next activity, which is the presentation of the skit, we do last min work such as the ppt sldes. Our grp is the 4th turn to present. However, technical difficulties prevents us from continuing. This makes us even more nervous coz our skit is an impropmtu one. We did not rehearse at all !!! =D The whole grp cooperate one another and our skit is a successful one though there's some things that I blur.

After everything, it's the facis turn to entertain us in the panty hose fight !!! It was so hilarious. Then, we can watch the movie or choose not to. I did not want coz my school need to discuss the Green Vision Project. We discussed the whole thing at Ken's room. We finished at around 4am !!! =)

Yup, that's about it. Tmr, last day !!! need to present our Green Vision Project to the panel of judges. How sad it is... Great things must come to the end.

TICE Eco Camp 2008 Day 1

Just return from plant visit just now.

Today, i got TICE Eco camp 08 at SMU. I did not attend lessons. haiz. In the morning, i need to meet at city hall with SP env members b4 heading to T-junction's SMU concourse. there were many groups. If I'm not wrong, there are 10 grps: heart,blaze,flame,cyclone,rock,wave, etc. In total, there were about 90-100 participants. My group only got 4 people coz some of them last min cant make it. Then, we had ice-breaking games followed by sumptous lunch. We need to use our own cutlery & plates since it's environmentally friendly. The food was delicious. After that, I go friday prayer at Bencoolen Mosque b4 heading to NatSteel pte ltd for the factory tour & mini video presentation put up by them.

Shafique's 19th Birthday

Today, my former classmates & I (not all) celebrated Shafique's birthday at IMM Secret Recipe. Arrived that at 6.30pm plus. Then, we waited for the birthday boy. Shafique was shocked to see us there. We had a delicious dinner. I ordered a chicken meal (forget the name coz it's complicated). We also order the chocolate banana cake !!! It's so yummy. I enjoyed it very much. We gave him lotsa presents. From jacket to shoes to shirt & a big birthday card !!! He almost shed his tears... LOL

Sports Elective Programme - Archery

Today, i had first session of Archery. Reach there, i'm the only one plus a gal waiting for the lesson to start. The weather was so sunny today. Heard that the temp reached 36 degrees !!! WOW=D

My first thought was the instructor is a man but it's actually a yr3 student ! His name was Ryan Pek. I think he's the president of SP Archery Club. We had briefing on safety aspects + basic thoery of the parts of the bow & arrow. It's quite hard for me to remember the different parts of it coz he got ask me lotsa of times !!! After that, time to practice shooting at the board !!!

The sun continues to shine. Each person was given 3 arrows to shoot. In total, i got 25 marks !!! Not bad ar for first timers. I hit the yellow & the red parts. Overall, I enjoyed the session though it was short.

Today, my family & I help out in shifting my grandma's bed from one house to another. It's my dad turn to take care of my grandma. Because of this, I had to sacrifice and gave my room to my grandma. In the end, my so-called mini room will temporary shifted at the living room near the windows. But nvr mind, coz it's only 1 mth.

It's the beginning of week 3 and life is as per normal. Today's TASC practical was very interesting !!! All about colours, from colour vision test to colour blindness test and etc. I really enjoyed the session very much. The best part is I get a chance to talk to Nigel !!! HAHA =D Sometimes, doing practical together especially with the colleagues that u dun know actually bonds the class together... =) After pract, had nanomat & SPM lect. Then, I need to stay back to do the SPM expt 1 datasheet.

Haiz. So far, 2 weeks of school have passed... I realised something

I'm not sure whether i can make it this yr or not. The problem is some of the lecturers did not teach us properly, especially Mr Tan. I hardly understand what he teach coz he sometimes talk to himself. Another one is Mr Nee. But, his teaching is a bit draggy but luckily I can still understand.

I'm hoping that year 2 will be ok for me coz i really need to do well to pull up my GPA to at least 3.2...

Another issue is CLS Club. It has been a long time I never chat or meet them. So far, nobody informed me anything about upcoming CLS activities =.=". Sometimes, i wonder did they still care abt me or not... or is it i think too much ? or is it my fault for not approaching them ? If it is, is it because each time got event, i did not turned up ? I dun want them to have a wrong idea that i did not turned up coz i purposely did that... it's coz i was very busy with my schedule. But actually i DO want to help out anything for the club. I know that CLS club roxs... I still remember 1st day of enrolment period, they really very enthu & welcome me... But now ? =X and now the best peeps that i know in their final year...

I really want to help out in FOP 08/09, which has over but then, i really cant coz i was working at that time... Another thing is the basketball thingy. last time wed, i did want to play basketball with them and i told calvin about it but then, i really cant make it at a last min coz i got something on. I just hope that calvin did get the wrong idea here...

I really want to make friends with them but the problem is that time when i entered CLS club with jenniffer, nobody even welcomed me with open arms !!! Cindy was there. Haiz, sometimes, I just feel that i'm so lonely w/o them...

I really miss people like jia sheng, alan, azhar A, calvin,cindy,mcyy etc... but, i did talk to jia sheng about clarke quay 20 thru MSN. I just hope he stills remember that i volunteer for the event. =D

I really pissed off when i went into a site relating to attention... coz it hurts me. as if the person nvr get attention b4. if the person thinks that the person nvr get attention from the person's peers, then u are wrong !!! coz u are type where ppl adore u so much unlike me... I know ppl ard me find me boring right ? each time i saw CLS peeps together, i was like thinking about the past. Now, I'm having problems wanting to go back to the clubhouse coz i know that ppl treat me as if i'm invisible...

Sorry if the post in red hurts anybody here. It's just that I'm so lonely w/o the CLS club peeps...

Maulid Celebration @ Madrasah Wak Tanjong

Today, me & Rashid went to Madrasah Wak Tanjong for maulid event. We reached there around 1.30pm... We went there straight away after Zohor prayers at Wak Tanjong Mosque =D

There are activities lined up. Before that, I had Briyani rice for lunch. Fuad & Fathin were with us too. We watched the arabic debate between madrasah irsyad & wak tanjong. I didnt understand what they are debating coz i'm dun understand arabic language. So, Rashid helped me to trasnlate in short for me... The motin is something to do with poverty i guess...

After everything, Madrasah Irsyad won !!! It was a tough fight coz the marks difference was 0.6. At around 4pm plus, we left there by praying for Asar b4 we went home.

5th day of school

Yesterday, School started at 3pm coz no morning pract briefing & SPM lecture with Mr Nee. I had SPM tutorial lesson on intro of SPM... Then, we had TASC with Mr Joel on intro of colours... The TASC notes is the most expensive notes ever !!! It costs $8.20/set !!! =D It's because some of the pages is coloured. Colour notes for colours module !!! haha =D

After that, went to queensway to look for my friend's birthday present. It was kinda tiring & having a hard time deciding things and that !!! Overall, I enjoy the shopping trip with my friends =D

Today, nothing to do at home. I just surf net & do my EMII tutorial 1.

4th day of school

Today, i had GMD lesson ay 9am. Ms Ong told us the overview of the module, which makes me interesting though it reminds me of D&T !!! haha =D After that, We had 4 hrs break !!! We went to FC4 for lunch with our former classmates and sit there for so long, doing nothing but play games & chit-chatting. After that, we had PPI lecturer with Mr Nee & Mr Tan. It's kinda weird for this slot coz Mr Nee takes 1 hr lecture. Then, change to Mr Tan for another 1 hr lecture !!! After that, went home by bus. In the bus, there's an small indian girl, who talk all kinds of stuffs to her granny about everything in tamil. The way she talk makes me smile to myself coz i find her cute !!! =D

Yup, that's about it. Tmr, lesson starts at 3pm coz no PPI practical & SPM lecture. Maybe, I shld go for jog or swim tmr morning ? I dun know...

P.S: I didn't expect that I appear in SURIA drama series"Atas Heights" on yesterday episode. I thought it will show on the last few episodes. Actually, I'm aware of this. The arranging of chairs is NOT PART OF THE ACT !!! =D I was shocked that the camera rotates at me.

3rd day of school

Today, I had mass lecture with 2B23 & 24 this morning. It was first time i undergo this... Anyway, the atmosphere is still the same as normal classroom... Then, I had Math lecture with Mr Tan. He makes us recap back on the a.math topics, which i had forgotten. But, no choice la coz have to understand some students, who do not have a.math background. After that, GEMS !!!

Quality Management. Guess what ? exactly the same as QASS !!! So, i'm learning something which is gd la coz these 2 modules are inter-linked... I finished at 2pm. After that, went to the library for tour regarding the LCC classification b4 heading to MLT1 for screening of documentary... After ethe screening and Q&A session, we were treated with buffet dinner !!!

2nd day of school

Today, school was great !!!

I get to mingle with more people. My classmates getting united but there's still 2 grps of people, who choose to still stick with their friends. But, never mind, as i said, they will definitely join us !!! =) When I was at T4A to collect my lecture notes, I met Ernest, my GYL camper !!! At first, I didnt know it was him till he called me !!! He looks abit different. That's why. Today, QAAS tutorial went through chapter on QA & QC... I somehow get the picture on these 2 topics. Then, we had EMII tutorial. Mr Derick recap us back chapter on integrate equations, which I had totally forgotten coz so long never touch A.math. haha =D.

Yup, that's about it. Tmr, 1st time lecture together with 4 classes. It's at LT5B. What module is that ? QASS lecture !!! =D

1st day of school

Well, today's 1st day of school. I'm officially a Yr2 student !!! =D

Anyway, it started with a slow one coz during first lesson, i did not mingle with the rest of my classmate but i did talk with them for a while b4 the 3-hr break. During the break, we watched stuart little 2 & pirates of carribean. about 11am plus, our former classmates from 2B25 came !!! I was like feeling from sad to happy when i met them coz it has been a long time since I met them. Then the next few lessons, my class is somehow off to the gd start as got 1 guy introduces himself to me !!! =D Till now, I still have no idea which are my classmates coz we sit anyhow mix with my buddy class. Now, I have no intention of making new friends from my buddy class yet... But as the time goes by, hopefully 2B21 will get along with each other, not to worry !!! it just need some minor adjustments & adaptation b4 we can be united as one

Sim Lim Square

Today, me & my mum went to Sim Lim Square to upgrade my laptop RAM. We went there by my dad company van. I upgrade my laptop RAM to 2.5GB in total by buying the Kingston's 2GB RAM, which costs $65 + $20 installation fee. After that, went to other shops to buy ink printer, DVD+R CD & my laptop screen protector. After that, proceed to JP to buy my new running shoes.

We went to Sportslink & I bought a pair of New Balance shoes, which costs $69.90. Then, I did not stop there. I still have to buy my swim trunks (Jammers) coz my current one is wear off soon. I hope that I can find one, preferably Speedo Jammers or TYR Jammers...

CP4036 Quality Assurance & Statistics [QAAS]
Provides an understanding of the important concepts on Quality Assurance, Statistical Analysis and Experimental Design in the chemical manufacturing industry. Topics covered include statistical tools used for quality assurance, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, factorial design of experiments and acceptance sampling plan.

CP4041 Polymer Processing I [PPI]
Covers the injection moulding processes. Topics covered include processing parameters, moulding faults and remedies, mould design and quality plan. Includes practical training in mould set-up, process optimisation, flow simulation, gas injection and CD moulding.

CP4079 Strength and Properties of Materials [SPM]
Covers normal stress and strain, Hookes law, Poissons Ratio, thermal strain, shear stress and strain, moments of inertia, parallel axis, theorem, perpendicular axis theory, bending of beams, centroid, neutral axis, neutral plane, radius of curvature, Youngs modulus, bending moment and torsion. Other topics covered include mechanical testing of materials which include tensile, flexural, impact, hardness and creep.

CP4094 The Art & Science of Colours [TASC]
Provides students with basic knowledge in the science and technology of colours with an appreciation of psychology and physiology of colours.

CP4100 Nanomaterials [NM]
Provides a basic understanding of nanotechnology, the current and potential uses of nanomaterials and their impact on our society. Students will be introduced to the different types of nanomaterials their preparation, characterisation and applications.

CP4101 Graphics & Mould Design [GMD]
Develops the students ability to create and interpret engineering drawings through the use of computer graphics and sketching as well as to provide students with the knowledge of plastic injection mould design.

MS2227 Engineering Mathematics II [EMII]
Equips students with an adequate mathematical knowledge and skills in integration, and solving first and second order differential equations. Students also learn how to use mathematical software.

MM011B Quality Management [QM]
Provides students with basic concepts and knowledge of quality management and quality system standard. The interpretation and understanding of requirements of various quality system elements of ISO 9000 will be covered. Students will also be taught the quality audit process. The concepts will be taught through lectures, tutorials and video clips. Students will be given assignments, quiz and tests to reinforcement as well as assess their understanding of the knowledge.

So in total, I will be taking 8 modules (incl GEMS) this coming semester while ppl in food tech & Industrial Chem take 7 modules !!! Oh well, What can I say...

Freshmen Orientation Programme (AY08/09)

Well, I'm not year 1 student !!! =D

I just help the students... me & Wenxu volunteered to help out. First, we meet at LT4A(A) for briefing on the task that we need to do. After that, we had KFC for lunch !!! =) Then at 12.30pm, we proceed to SPCC (Convention Ctr). I'm in charge of the DCP 1A booth. My task is simply distribute the class list to students. I'm very disappointed just now coz the class list have not arrived yet by the time students were queueing on the line. Oh no, we just created the bad impression. After everything, I went in to view the performances. Then, i bring my class i/c, which is DCP/1A/02 to T1A54 for Meet the tutor session. Mrs leong is their personal tutor. btw Zheng Yi is in charge of DCP1A01 & their personal tutor was Mr Ho. me & wenxu distributed the snacks & drinks, followed by distribution of donation tins & t-shirts. i found out that my class i/c got only 6 boys while their buddy class got 11 boys !!! =D After that, I followed Zheng yi's class i/c behind for the school tour, where we bring the yr 1 students to different places such as workshops, library, teaching block & Food Court. Everything ended at about 5.30pm

Yup, that's about it. Tmr, I think I will stay at home.

Watching Movie with Rashid

Today, me & Rashid went to JE ent ctr to watch a movie. The title was Flood. The tix was on me. It has something to do with Global Warming, I think. Bought drinks & large popcorn of course. We choose the 10.40am timing and guess what ? only 6 of us were watching it !!! After that, went to almukminin mosque for zohor. Then, went to Teh Tarik Restaurant ( the new one) for lunch. It was 2.30pm at that time. The lunch was on me too. I bought fried rice and sweet & sour chicken while rashid bought Hokien Mee. I was full by the time we finished it. After that, we went home.

Yup, that's all. Back to School is in 1 weeks time but tmr, need to go back to SP to help the orientation for 1st yr students =)

My NEW Bike !!!

This morning, I followed my parents to Jurong west area there to search for my very own new bike !!! =D

I came across this cool blue bike, which costs $155. It's so nice coz it's my favourite colour. Thank god that the uncke gave us $5 disc. Besides that, i still need to buy the bell, the lamp & the lock too. So, the total bill is $180. After that, my parents went to the market while me, waited at one side.

Yup, that's all for today !!! =D

Seems like I have spent quite a lot of my personal stuffs since I had earned quite a huge sum of money for my hardwork working at SGH... =D

Docent Training & Young Muslim Forum @ Hasanah Mosque

Yesterday, I went to Sultan Mosque just to chill & relax since it's boring at home. After Fri prayer, I got docent training till 4pm. I get to make new friend from USA. She went to the mosque before. Overall, I feel satisfied with my work that I have done. I managed to communicate with her well !!! =D

B4 maghrib, me & bro rizal went to bedok to collect some stuffs. Then, went back to the mosque to unload it b4 heading to Rashid's place, where we had to fetch him. B4 we went back to the mosque, We buy mcdonalds for dinner @ ECP. After that, we head to Hasanah Mosque for the event called Young Muslim Forum.

After Isyak, we reached there. The topic was cakap pasal remaja. As I was in the auditorium, I met my SP classmarte, Yad. Overall, I enjoyed the session very much. There were many activties lined up for us.... from music performances to video presentation & to the discussion session. The best part is I get to meet different youth organisation from different mosque ard singapore. The event finished around 1045pm. Bro rizal send us home by car & I reached home ard 1130pm.

Back to SP

Yesterday, I went back to SP to reconfigure my laptop. My laptop have viruses. Now, finally back to normal but i still cant figure out how to install the audio driver. now, my laptop no voice already !!! haha =D

After that, went back to SGH to take my last timesheet, which I left behind. When I come back, I still feel happy to see them again. Now, I dun feel sad already coz i have already accepted that I'm no longer working there. Hopefully, i will come back the next break (2 weeks around end of may i think). now, my mind switches to "get-ready" study mode. I cant wait to get back to school... Looking at my hectic timetable, i was like oh o... looks like I need to study really hard & smart as well...

Today, I registered my GEM module. This time I choose Quality managment, by Sch of MM. Wed, 1-3pm. This module is something to do with the core module that I'm going to take, which is Quality Assurance & Statistics (QASS)...

Last Day of Work

Today is my last day of work...

Today is the last time i took bus to work, last time to walk up to blk 4, last time to take the key from security office, last time to switch on the lights early in the morning, last time to do stock order list, etc & the list goes on... EVERYTHING IS LAST !!! In the morning, I met Farabi, usha's friend. I taught him everything that I need to teach him. I hope he can absorb what me, Darren & even Usha taught him. After everything, I decided to take photo with them...

I must say that I really going to miss them so much. Not to worry, I can always come back to visit them again !!! Wouldn't it be great ? I will miss:

19th birthday Part 2

Today, my family & I went to IMM for lunch before we head to Best Denki. At B'gus restaurant, I met Atikah & her family.Sshe also celebrating her belated birthday too !!! haha =D. what a coincidence. We went to best denki coz i need to buy my very own new camera. It's pentax Optio M40. It's a 8.0 mega pix camera with different functions such as face detection and so on. It costs $ 299 plus free gift, which is mini tripod, 2GB SD card, camera pouch & protective screen. Ironically, it's the last day of promotion there !!! After that, went to JE entertainment ctr to buy my birthday cake at PrimaDeli. Then, we ate Long John Silver b4 heading home...

Yup, that's about it. Tmr, last day of work !!! Time files so fast & I had to leave SGH BLK 4 pharmacy... haiz

19th birthday Part 1

Yesterday, I turned 19. However, I need to go to work due to stocktake 2007. It was enjoying doing it as it was my first time

It took place from 2pm & we finished it in 5 hours time !!! Eventhough it's so tiring, but i enjoy myself. After work, my boss wants to bring me to Lau Pa sat to eat satay. It was surprise though. i thought that 2 days ago, the satay club conversation thingy is just a joke. But then, i got another surprise. This time, from sis Faza & bro Rizal. They wanted to celebrate my birthday with me. In the end, they gave me a birthday cake coz my work colleagues are waiting for me.

Yup,that's all. Thanks to everybody who wish me during my birthday. it's really appreciated. This coming monday is my last day of work =(. Btw, i'm posted to polymer tech option and I'll be in DCP/FT/2B/21. Good luck to all my classmates with their option !!! hopefully we can meet up =D

Expo Maulid @ Sultan Mosque

I know that I've not been updating my blog for the past few weeks... Btw, from now on, all my blog entries will automatically posted to multiply as well.

For the past 5 consecutive days, i have been to Sultan Mosque to help out in the expo maulid event, which was held for 3 days (21 to 23 march). Our task was to set up an exhibition related to maulid & open up the drinks stall. As usual, some of it it's last min work. So, these 3 days, quite a number of people turned up for the event. Frist day, the sales were very good coz of fri prayer but sat & yest, iyt was not good though due to weather. But, nvr mind. At least, we enjoyed ourselves & i get to meet up my friends !!! =D

As for the exhibiton side, not many people viewed the exhibition. but, there were people viewing the video presentation. Other activities that took place also was mass cukur rambut, mass kahwin,syarahan competition and etc.

A pleasant surprise

My whole family receive a pleasant surprise this afternoon...

My uncle who lives in woodlands visit us just now. Guess what ? He gave us Sony Vaio lappy fo free !!! I dun know why he gave that to us. Whatever the reason is, on behalf of my family, i would like to say thank you to my uncle for the laptop that he gave us. The ironic is he just purchase the laptop and straight away visit our house !!! Thank you so much for the lappy

Yup, that's all about it. Today, I never go out coz no sultan youth meeting as bro rizal got appointment. I just stayed at home, typing our EL ppt slides notes for the course that I teach together with rashid at sultan mosque to the maids. =D

Dinner @ Sakura International Buffet

Today, I had a wonderful time eating...

Just now, the whole family of my dad's side went to Sakura Intl Buffet for dinner @ Clementi woods. Uncle Jurami treats us. I had such a great time. There were a wide variety of foods served, be it from steaks to western to sushi & desserts !!! You name it & everything is there. I ate alot of stuffs !!! Overall, I enjoyed myself there... Next time, I'll post the pictures for u guys to look & drool at the same time !!! HAHAHA =D

Nothing much to update...

Just that today, my cashiering duties was perfect. No excess or shortage for the 2nd time =) So far, working is enjoying but tiring. Btw, i'm no longer carrying stocks from warehouse,t hanks to the new boy, bernard, who help us in carrying it. gosh, he stole our job u know !!! Now, i have no chance of carrying stocks & at the same time exercising !!! =( Oh well, what can I do. Bernard renders his services voluntarily... Btw, i also have shorten my working contract to 31 mar.

Yup, thats about it. on friday, pre-stock will take place where i need to check the shelf-ticket of evry shelves plus putting the grp of stocks in one cupboard and plus photocopy the barcodes. So, next 2 days, i'm doing shop floor duty coz darren will do the cashiering duties.

It's the month of march... My big day is in 20 days time. I know that I have not been updating for so long. As usual, due to busy schedule...

Just now, I had to go to sultan mosque to help Rashid in teaching english course for the maids. it is held every 2 weeks per month. It has been enjoyable lesson today coz we had a good laugh at the same time. We taught them verbs, nouns, adverbs,adjectives, etc. Each session lasts for 1 1/2 hr. After that, we went to Hanzalah's aunt wedding at Arab Association @ Paya Lebar with syafiee & lukman as well as syazwan.

Yesterday, I work as usual. It's not that crowded on that day as compared to last 2 weeks. The earnings from my cashier was quite alot actually. Overall, I find working on sat more relaxing than weekdays. After work, went to my grandma house to discuss about our outing as a whole family (mum side) to JB during june sch holidays...

Last friday after work, went to Seri Laut Seafood to eat. Since it's my first pay day, i decided to treat my family. Total bill was $59.50. We had fried rice, plain rice, sliced fish, hot plate beancurd and so on !!! I was full !!! =D After that, we went to JE entertainment centre to watch a movie. The movie that we watched was the legend of waterhorse. The movie started at 9.45pm. I find it sad at the end. Overall, I enjoyed the movie very much. Looks like i'm addicted to watching movies in cinemas !!! =D

Leap Year

It's just that I need to hand in my timesheet for the 2nd time so that Recruit Express can process my pay !!! =D So far, it has been 25 days since I work at the SGH Blk 4 Pharmacy. I get to learn new things from handling customers to stock take and to cashiering duties. Today is Yu Eng's last day at work.

S2 07/08 Class Gathering @ Aranda Country Club

Just reached from chalet for class gathering @ Aranda Country Club

Day 1
I arrived at the chalet around 9pm plus from work. I took 12 all the way to Pasir Ris int & ate at white sands. When i arrived there, i was amazed by the place coz eveything is first class. Unfortunately, some area is undergoing refurbishments. The first thing that I do was watch movies & TV. I watch so many movies. I slept around 2.30am plus coz i was so tired from work.

Day 2
I woke up ard 7am. the malay boys went out to buy breakfast for us. As for me, I went out to explore the place. Then, I decided to go for a swim alone despite the weather. it was refreshing & peaceful coz not so many ppl. I only swim for a whie. Then, I also try sauna for 5 mins & then went back to the room. In the afternoon, i need to take BBQ stuffs at Kembangan. Then, me, Yad & fiq ate at MCD Bedok b4 heading back to Pasir Ris. Ard 6 plus, Mrs Leong arrived at the bus-stop. Then, i decided to fetch her from there. Immed, the BBQ was started. There were lotsa stuffs to eat. i ate alot & feeling so full coz I drank too much water. Then, we had celebration for Shi Min & Zhi Wen birthday. We had choco cake b4 me,Wenxu & Mrs Leong left the chalet at 8.30pm. At MRT, we 3 chat together b4 heading to different directions. I alight at clementi MRT to take 185. I arrived at home 2 hrs later, which is ard 10.30pm

I had so much fun at the chaket though i didnt manage to stay for full 3 days due to work. so sian sia... it has been 1 yr we have been together. Even if we go on our separate ways, We can still keep in touch right ? Despite ups & downs, I believe that we are still one united class, alright ? I shld stop here coz I'm working tmr. I will like to say thanks to the organiser for organsing this chale thingy. It's really appreciated !!! =D

I know i've not been updating for so long. Kinda busy & tired due to work.Many things have happened for the past 2 weeks...

Last saturday, I went for Sultan youth meeting. Only syafiee, sis faza & me as well as bro rizal attended. Rashid was sick on that day. We discuss about expo maulid, which will be held in 1 month time. In the end, we didnt have a meeting coz bro rizal last min asks us to do some docent training to NUS intl students. I did manage to talk to anothe grp of 4 tourists. I bring them ard the mosque & explain anything about islam. I felt satisfied coz I managed to mingle with them !!! After that, met sis faza at a coffee shop for lunch then we head to Natl lib to get some ideas on how to set up booth & displays for the expo maulid event. After that, went to Rashid's house to settle his internet stuffs as well as computed related infos. Finally, I managed to install messenger to his com & finally managed to chat with him via MSN.

Last Sunday, me & my family went to my mum's workplace family day @ sentosa. They have game stalls, exciting telematch & so on. I didn't participate though coz the games are meant for the kids. I didnt went for swim too coz nobody want to accompany me. At the end of the day, there's lucky draw being held but we did not won anything. At least we got win something coz of the lucky sticker that was pasted bellow the chair my mum sits. She won a $20 Robinson voucher & we won another $20 Robinson voucher via pre-draw. Overall, I enjoyed the day & somemore my first time taking sentosa express monorail !!! haha =D

Last monday, something sad happened to my family. My aunt passed away due to breathing difficulties. It was kinda expected though. She was only 43. During that day itself, I ask for off day from work to visit & offer some prayers before my aunt was buried on the same day. Semoga Allah S.W.T mencucuri rahmat ke atas rohnya. Amin !!!

Last wednesday, I met a new friend. We go out together & we had fun fooling ourselves at night !!! Thanks ya bro !!! I'm definitely sure that we gonna meet again someday !!! Friends forever =)

Last friday after prayer, I met my Indian-muslim friend, Faizal at the SGH mini mosque (surau). I met him before during Sultan Youth meeting. He was surprised to see me there !!! haha =D

Yesterday, for the first time, I have done extremely well in my cashiering duties. I have collected $4446.50 & guess what ? There's neither SHORTAGE nor EXCESS !!! The actual collections TALLY with the system collections !!! I was like wow coz i did not make any mistakes. Btw, saturdays is the only day that i can slack a bit coz not so many customers. Up till now, I have enjoyed working at the pharmacy. When I reached home, I got a letter from Recruit Express regarding my pay !!! I have gotten my 1st 2 weeks pay. Yesterday, i was supposed to go for sultan youth meeting but i didn't attend coz i need to go for a feast (kenduri arwah). I was kinda dissapointed about the attendance too each time we have meeting. Bro Rizal definitely will be dissapointed. At least I nvr go for a good reason lor... =)

Today, I will be staying at home fully coz got nothing to do but resting. My boss told me to have lotsa rest today coz tmr will be a hard day for me. Btw, class chalet is coming up from 25-27 feb. I have reason why i cant attend all 3 days. At my workplace, if a person asks for leave, there will be shortage of manpower. So, I rather take 1 day leave. and also, I was kinda dissapointed coz one of my classmate will not be there even for one day !!! so sad sia =(

I will promise to update everyday. Tmr, work from 11-7pm then I will take 12 to Pasir Ris's Aranda Country Club for class chalet... =)

3rd day at work

It's 3rd day of work & things are starting to be better coz i did not made any serious error in my cashiering duties. Today, I started working at 11am coz today is eve of Lunar New Year.

Today, i wa taught on how to take a blood sample from finger to measure the glucose level using a small & simple machine. They tried on my finger. The pain was not that painful actually. Btw, it was not that crowded at the pharmacy today coz majority the staff went home ard 1pm & customers were not there too. I went lunch with Usha then continue my job till 4pm.

Yeah, that's about it. To all my chinese friends, GONG XI FA CAI !!! =D Ushering the year of RAT !!! =D

1st day at work

I had just showered & got back from work.

Today is my 1st day of work. I arrived at my workplace at 8.20am. For those of you who don't know what s my job, I work as a retail assiatant at pharmacy @ SGH.

My job scope is handling the cashiering duties & carrying stocks from one block to another. Darren & Usha taught me how to handle the cash regisration. So far, I can cope well with it & quickly pick up the skills. I'm only left with dealing with other modes of payment such as voucher & products that do not have barcode as well as how to delete errors from the registor.

Me & Darren also help to colleck stocks two blocks away. This is also my 1st time doing it. I had to carry heavy boxes of pharmaceutical products. Though it's hard work, but i enjoyed it..

At the cash registration, all the customers that i attended to is happy except for one, where I unintentionally made wrong mode of payment. The indian lady gave me an American Express card but i didnt know that she's paying via NETS. In the end, i do the transaction as AMERICAN EXP, which makes her unhappy. Then another thing is thta she asks us for stapler from Darren, but he's not paying attention. In the end,we got scolded coz she scold us "why are you so blur". I mean, i dun know where's the stapler ma, so I said i dun know lor !!! HAHA but nvr mind, it's fated. What can I do...

Now, my legs are aching all over as well as feeling very tires, I nee dto get some rest for tmr. Btw, I'm working from 8.15am to 5.30pm or 11am to 7pm on weekdays and alternate saturdays from 8.30am to 4pm. Yeah, that's about it for today !!! =D

Nite Cycling

It's the month of feb...

Today, I got back from nite cycling. It was super duper tiring...

The event was organised by us and it's on 2-3 feb. The route was from pasir ris to Changi Village to ECP and back to CV & Pasir ris.

Let me share with u guys what happened yesterday.

Yesterday morning, me & sis faza went to sheng siong to shop for snacks b4 heading by bro
rizal's car to sultan mosque. All the committee members were there after we ariived here with sis nisa too. At this last min, we prepare the items that we need to bring on that day. There were lotsa of things to bring. B4 asar, we (8) went to hjh maimunah rest for lunch. After that, me, sis nisa & sis faza went off first to Pasir Ris Carpark C, with the items...

When we reached there, me & sis nisa carry the stuffs to a spot & waited for the other committee memers to come. At that point, it was 5.30pm. The event was supposed to start from 7pm to nxt day, 7am but the participant must reach by 6pm. As time goes by, it was 7 pm !!! but, no one present except both of us !!! OMG. we told the other members to take MRT to PAsir Ris and not by bro rizal car coz sis faza need to take pkts of food at JW. Hence, no 2nd trip as planned. In the end, they took taxi. BUT, they alight at Pasir Ris MRT instead !!! coz they want to fetch their friends.Guess what ? they took it again and this time they stopped at Carpark E !!! Haiz...

When everybody was there, food was given as well as ice-breaking games were conducted among the group. There were 3 groups ( 2 guys & 1 gal ). If I'm not wrong, there were 18 or 19 participants out of expected 50-60 !!! HAiz... After prayers, safety briefing was given as well as warm up and we are off !!! Just want to say that me,sis nisa, sis faza & dayah as well as bro rizal were not cycling coz we are the logistic ppl. We went to various places by car. how sad i am i did not given a chance to go for cycle. Well, i have no choice coz if they dun do it, who will ? =D

First checkpoint is Changi Village. We stopped there for water break... We dropped the rest from car except me & bro rizal, which we went for roundings just to check the status of them. We found out that the grps are actually quite fast !!! We were worried by their safety, judging by the way they cycle. Then, we went for many rounds just to check how they were doing & so far, no mishaps !!! All of them reached CV at 11.35pm.

At around 12.30am, we depart to ECP Area G. As usual, all of us board the car and proceed. but, we have to go back to pasir ris coz poor syafiee. He volunteer to stay there just to look after the things. Initially, we rent 40 bikes but only 26 of them were used. in the end, the leftover must be taken care of. Bro Rizal volunteer to stay with him. The rest, we head to ECP with our necessary stuffs.

We reached at area D as told by them. BUT, they say they are at area G !!! OMG !!! We were so tired transporting goods 7 then we had to put it back !!! HAizz... They reached at area G around 2am. We had games at 3am, which is the waterbomb. Khairuddin nearly do that to me !!! HAHAA. At around 4am, they depart back to Pasir ris. We went back by car and reached at 4.45am.

I decided to doze off for a while. I woke up at 6am and I found out that they are still not arrived here yet. I perform my prayers alone & waiting fo the rest to come back. 7.15am, that's the time when one of the first few who came. I just get to know that they take a long break at CV and some of them went to mosque for subuh. i was like what !!! This thing is in one grp. how can everybody separates from each other ? no teamwork ar ? We ate Nasi Lemak followed by debrief and the participants can leave. It was 8am !!! at that time. But for the logistic ppl, this does not ends here. We still have to pack and transport all these to the mosque as well as the bicycles.

I find this event a failure !!! I dont want ot talk about it coz it just hurts. But, I just hope that they learnt their lesson. When there's post mortem, I want to critic !!! I dont care... coz everything is in the mess. I feel dissapointed and fed-up about this.

Yeah, that's about it. Tmr, I'm starting to work for the first time !!! I must not be late. If i nvr been late to school, I'm sure i have no problems coming to work too !!! =D

Interview @ Giant Tampines

Today, I had an interview all the way @ Giant Tampines. I reached there late coz I need to send something to my mum @ her workplace. Supposed to meet at 10.30am but I reached at 11am instead !!!

Reached there with sweat all around my body, I look for a person named Tracy. The sales person said that she's at the office. So, I walk around the BIG, spacious hypermart to find the office but no to avail. I'm kinda stupid coz the office is actually in the middle of the exit counters !!!

Ms Tracy told me to fill in the form & being interviewed too. After that, i need to go to CPF building at tampines to look for Ms neo to sigh the contract. I went home by bus from Tampines. I took 65 --> 14 to SP coz i need to return a library book... Reached home around 2pm plus...

When I reached home, Ms Joanne from Recruit Express told me that Vacancy at Giant IMM is full. So, she told me to work at Vivocity instead. unforunately, I reject it coz the location is so far away. In the end, I've decided not to work as a cashier anymore... =(

Yeah, that's about it... Now eagerly waiting from Ms Noresa's call on the job that I appiled last monday. Btw, I'm not sure what to do tmr... =D
